The annual meeting of the Australian Athletic Confederation (of the state leagues) is on this Sunday 19th August at Albert Park.

Most states will be represented although I believe SA won't have a representative at the meeting.

Athletics Australia CEO Dallas O'Brien will be there to discuss developements in AA that are of interest to pro-running.

Mark Howard has now left the VAL and as the current secretary of the AAC he will probably render his resignation from that role.

Among other matters to be discussed, the AAC awards will be announced as per usual.

The VAL is now located at the Albert Park athletic complex along with Athletics Victoria and the Victorian Little Athletics Association.

I believe Nila Blennerhassett is working in the VAL office two days per week, with AV staff helping in the VAL's general administration.

The VAL is also looking at a new website to link in with the AV website.

The handicappers will be Graeme Watkins, Graeme Goldsworthy and Darryl Nettleton.

The VAL Board is
Mathew Boyes (President)
Sue Dunbar
Brian Marantelli
Steven Cato
Todd Ireland
Cameron Yorke
Andrew McManus
Terry O'Donnell
Mark O'Brien
Shane McKenzie

The only new meeting at this stage is Warrnambool which will be on the same weekend as Terang on 24/25 November 2012

When the new website is on line. Would be good to see a provisional comp calendar on this forum. Would get people keen for the new season.
