The support for the SAAL by the athletes is a disgrace.A $5750 gift with 4 heats,$2250 womens 2 heats, total prize money $16900. WTF.
Still if you only want to run in Adelaide for $500 then you will get your wish. How soft?
If you cant support the meetings that put the money up you'll get your just deserts,Don't kid yourselves if numbers drop so will races like Bay,Camden,Mt. Gambier and Loxton.I'd say the balls in YOUR court, wake up before its to late.

Youngy, was there much to report from the Whyalla meet? Was the quality down a heaps since entries were down, or were there still some great performances?

As I alluded to earlier I was very worried about the distance events.Cant quite recall the numbers now ,but was it 4 in the over 35 1600m and 5 or 6 in the open 1600m.
VERY ORDINARY.
However not as ordinary as the SAAL for getting the sponsors wrong in the program.again not sure ,but were the right sponsors printed on the sashes.
As mentioned earlier the whole league athletes and administration need to lift their game or else we wont be going past Gepps Cross to run.
Whyalla people werent very happy.

They would prob have better support if there wasn't two big driving country meets back to back two weeks apart. People have lives too buddy and in my situation had to choose one as I can't do both. Change that and in my opinion so will your numbers
