Upon studying the results from Keilor last yeat, MTR come across an amazing formline, see below results from semi final 3 at Keilor last year:

KEILOR 2011/12 120m Gift Semi CRAIG FOLEY 11.75 12.79 12.89
KEILOR 2011/12 120m Gift Semi DOUGLAS GREENOUGH 8.25 12.81 12.91
KEILOR 2011/12 120m Gift Semi CARL MOREHOUSE 4.50 12.82 12.92
KEILOR 2011/12 120m Gift Semi MATTHEW WILTSHIRE 7.00 12.86 12.96
KEILOR 2011/12 120m Gift Semi ADAM COOTE 9.75 12.87 12.97

1st, 2nd & 3rd in last years Stawell Gift final amongst the competitors in semi final 3 with none progressing to the final at Keilor.

What does this mean? Perhaps some were at different stages of their preparation, perhaps some had the handbrake firmly applied?

Traditionally Ballarat, Keilor and Bendigo have been great formlines heading towards Stawell and I suggest this year will be no different.

Interested in the opinion of others in determining who is and isn't in the mix for Stawell this year beside from Powell and Ross of course?

Meatpie, a close friend of MTR has always told me that you only get 1 genuine chance at winning the Stawell Gift, all the runners mentioned above have had their chance!

Speaking of my old friend, come back to the forum with some form analysis, you're the best in the capper, your comments when informed and considered are always around the mark and appreciated by the forum regulars!!

Btw, some great running at Keilor, MTR is tipping Bryce Teo for the win at Stonnington, distance is perfect for the pocket rocket for WA!

Mirrorz saw a 'Magic' 70m on the weekend.

Mind you, one needed a keen eye to see it, as it was in a Gift heat.
