I am concerned.

I am deeply concerned ... not worried.

Are you saying that Park Ten is going to be different from now on?

Are you saying that Amy and/or her sister are training no longer at McKinnon?

How can that be true?

Oh how we took some things for granted ... are those wonderful times over?

How concerning ... tell me that it is not so?

Can we start a FaceBook page?

Love your work stokesy! Although i agree with your sentiments i doubt we should let this post degenerate into rubbish! they are both lovely girls who deserve a bit more respect than that! Just a hint in regards to the identity she didn't run at loxton!

I tend to disagree Whispers. I am inclined to think if a program isn’t working for you then you are doing no one any good by hanging around (no matter what time of year it is). As long as it is handled correctly then there should be no negativity involved in switching. I have trained with 3 different coaches in my time in South Australia and am still very close to all of them. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses and from the athletes perspective it is all about finding a coach/training crew that suits you at a particular point in time of your career. I would have no problem recommending any of them to any athletes seeking a coach. I suppose what we want is to see all athletes (no matter which stable they are from) reach their potential and achieve their personal goals no matter who they train with.

Whilst so far so good, just be careful where this is all heading. Every athlete has the right to seek out a change/squad/coach that they think will be in their best interests. It is no reflection on a previous coach.

I have no problem with it being announced on Protrack, so long as the "ex" coach has full knowledge of the move before it is made public.

Don't know the girl involved all that well, but she certainly seems the type that would show the appropriate courtesy & respect expected.

As Red Leg succintly made the point, show some respect for the coaches who have, to the best of their ability & knowledge, sacrificed their time & efforts to assist you in your athletic endeavours. No coach goes out to sabotage his/her athlete's career.

So if you do change, move on and enjoy the next phase of your career.

No disrespect intended, I thought news traveled fast in Adelaide. It got to Manhattan quicker? Confident the move had already been made and said coach well informed. Maybe her new job had more to do with the move?

No worries Gossipgirl. Appreciate your update.

I believe Steve Butler had spoken with Katherine Robb 2 weeks ago. So the appropriate discussion between athlete & coach happened before it ended up on Protrack. All good.

Just that from first hand experience I know how these things can escalate into something distasteful, and better to defuse it now before it gets out of hand.
