Details for the 2013 Lithgow Flash Carnival are at the above web link. The event date is now Saturday November 30th after being washed out in February. This looks to be the event date for future years along with aligning itself close to the other major events in the weeks prior.

The 2013 Lithgow Flash® Carnival will be held on Saturday 30 November with
some of the top athletes from across Australia competing for over $25,000 in
prize money. The Centennial Coal Lithgow Flash® Gift for women has $11,000
prize money on offer, being one of the richest women’s sprint races in Australia.
Other events on the day will include races for teams and individuals to compete
and have a chance to win some great prize money.

The Coal Services 5 kilometre Valley Challenge will have a total of $2,000 of prize
money on offer with $500 for the first placed overall team plus $500 for the first
placed female team. Both female and male individual runners will receive prize
money respectively. Prize money for junior competitors is also on offer
You don’t need to be a member of a club to compete in the Coal Services 5
kilometres Valley Challenge or the Zig Zag Mile and junior events.

Entry forms for the Coal Services 5 kilometres Valley Challenge, Zig Zag Mile and
junior events can be collected from the Lithgow Visitor Information Centre or
downloaded from the Lithgow Flash® Carnival website

On Sunday 1 December the Lithgow Triathlon will be held at the Lithgow War
Memorial Olympic Swimming Pool and surrounding parks and roads. There are
great prizes to be won for both senior and junior categories. For more
