Massive congrats to Ricky for his win in the 100 metres masters yesterday at Geelong. It clearly meant a lot to him, listening to his victory speech.
He continues to be an inspiration to me, for his longevity and dedication to our great sport.
I can guarantee that Ricky would have still been one of first to arrive yesterday, and one of the last to leave, helping to setup and pack up.

What a legend Ricky Dunbar! Fantastic result for a seventy six year old man who continues to put so much into the sport we all love. At one stage billed as the fastest white man on earth. Great to hear Ollie Wurm acknowledge what a champion he is. Sometimes the younger generation need to be informed.

From another and much slower veteran, I couldn't have been more delighted when I saw the 100m result from Geelong. Ricky's obviously an inspiration to everyone, particularly his fellow masters competitors.
Just a great reward for someone who continues to put as much into our sport now as he ever has.
He's a champion who would be a perfect subject for Australian Story.
