In what is the last chance for a bonus win and one of only two gifts left available for most athletes we turn our attention to the small town of Euroa. Make sure you check your colour and stay hydrated. There are some athletes who have found their way out to very good marks for what their ability suggests. Who wins?

Euroa could be an interesting race with who does not risk their mark as opposed to who wants the lift. My gut feeling is that there are some who would like to bank their mark and chase a metre early next season. I can definitely see one athlete in particular that has shown some form but will not win and will be extremely well placed come Stawell next year as long as he does not run a time.

Tim Rooke 7m - 11% - The Castle won the Don Furness showing that he still has what it takes to win a gift. Many may forget how good he looked winning Bendigo off a very tight mark. He should be thereabouts this weekend but I feel that he will not win. Should be a top three chance but may only just make the final.

Edward Ware 8.25m 11% - Ware is another athlete that should be thereabouts. I mentioned last week that it was absolutely possible for NF to have 5 guys in the final at Bendigo. Ware was one of those chances. He may be a little off his best though and whilst I think he probably has a mark that he could win off if cherry ripe, I feel he is not quite there.

Rupert Lugo 9.75m 12% - Lugo won in impressive fashion last weekend. His final was excellent and he was a very deserved winner of a big gift. There is often some jocularity surrounding him supposedly drinking before Ballarat but I feel that he was taking the piss. He looks fit and has his leg speed back. Lets look at the facts. Bendigo track is faster than Euroa. His time would not be replicated this week. He has been pulled. He won by a metre. He could conceivably win again this week. Which other finalists from Bendigo are entered? Off the same type of run he has them covered. I feel that he may sleep in tomorrow and miss the bus to Euroa.

Lawrence Coop 14m / Tim Rosen 14m 11% - This is a very good pairing. Coop made multiple gift finals two years back and has a huge mark compared to what he had in that period of time. He should be able to win a gift. For an athlete like Coop he should be looking for this kind of a gift and then work on winning a bigger one with a smaller limit. Could he win here and Ballarat next season? I think that may be a stretch but he should take a gift home soon. 'The Man' has a mark that makes him super competitive. We know that Tim has previously won events that no one else wanted but that was before the incentive program was introduced. Can he win Euroa again? The simple answer is yes. Will he win it tomorrow? I am not sure based off his Bendigo run. If he does not win here I feel that we will be talking about him next season as the favourite for many gifts and because he will be right in the mix for sprinter of the year with how many finals he will make. He has definitely trained to improve his ability, something some others could take note of.

Good luck
