Really pro meets should be conducted by State Pro Running bodies - we haven't got to Bunbury yet & the 1st of a predicted plethora of wrong calls have been made by meet officials

A directive has been handed out that no spikes can be longer than 12ml?!

In my opinion - 12ml spikes are probably the worst to use on heavy grass tracks

7ml scrape the top surface & allow little purchase

9ml rip & rake at the Track & still won't grip

12ml grip rip & scrape

15ml grip pretty good & allow minimal scraping but still not perfect on long heavy grass or in the wet

18ml just grip & purchase - as long as your knee lift & foot plant are good enough - 18's are perfect for athlete purchase & with minimal scraping

Try doing a Bolt 3xSlide step off the Blocks & 18's will leave you face planted with ruptured Achilles

We haven't made it to the meet & Aths WA already have it wrong

Pro Pasto

Have confirmed with athletics WA that this rule will not be enforced and should have been omitted. An email will be sent to all participants confirming this.

Hope this helps.
