Avondale Heights??

Will that be at Avondale Heights Football Ground - the one they want to call Matty Lloyd Oval, formerly known as Canning Street Reserve?

Only a few Bernie Quinlan torps from Razor's Palace Exclamation

Matty Lloyd could throw the grass up to see which end they put the finishing gates.

On the same weekend as Camden means the good 400 runners will need to make a choice.

Camden v Avondale Hts

Should not be a problem. Camden has the prestige and tradition and stood the test of time. Avondale has less money and no tradition....yet.

Once the NSWAL calendar becomes available a national League calendar will be put together and posted on Pro Track.

Ararat might struggle on Saturday after Prahran but could be a good move too. Depends on what they have to offer. Good prizemoney and it could be a winner. Use to be Ballarat weekend and that was successful so no reason why Ararat can't work. I'll be there, looking forward to it.

Heard this alst night, VAL has altered the system to a 3 tick system.

Mark O'Brien is the number one handicapper. Terry still does the sprints but Mark will have a hand in them.

Rick Trusler is the chief steward.
Bill Sutton assistant steward and starter.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Heard that a number of board members have jacked up about the president going off and making appointments and decisions without getting a show of hands from the board. Watch this space.

While I'm all for freedom of speech, it does come with it some semblance of responsibility.

The VAL Board from where I sit, have improved a lot of the years and seem to be doing what they can to keep the sport progressing.

Making general comments like "they're muppets" doesn't achieve anything.

If you have a genuine gripe based on facts and proof then fair enough. But rumours or rubbish comments that denigrate people just for the sake of it are a waste of time.

McManus was elected to be the Chairman so I'm guessing he has the right to make some decisions without consulting the other board members.

I suppose its not the first time and wont be the last time a number of board members will jack up about things. Some seem to want it their own way too often!

Do the members of the board have particular portfolios to take care of?

Wrong, all it gives is casting vote if deadlocked.I presume its still a democracy?
