Coastal Districts Athletic Club (CDAC) was formed in 2008 when Luke Hildyard started coaching Russell Scott.

Tom Cole, Hayley Openshaw, Cameron Hext and Trent O’Loughlin soon joined and the first core group of the club was formed.

A five year coaching, training and competing plan was implemented at this time, CDAC is about to enter the fifth year of this plan.

With an eye to coaching succession, CDAC is seeking coaches for the 2012/13 season, to assist with athlete development. This opportunity could suit a novice or experienced coach or an athlete who wishes to broaden their involvement in athletics/ surf lifesaving.

CDAC counts amongst its 39 competing members a significant number of talented young athletes and a small, senior group that raced admirably, again, throughout the 2011/12 season.

CDAC has affiliations with the Seacliff, Brighton, Somerton, Glenelg and West Beach surf lifesaving clubs. CDAC competes within the SAAL, VAL and in local and national surf lifesaving competitions.

CDAC promotes and enacts an ethos of good citizenship. A strong expectation of working hard and smart and always looking to perform to the best of your ability exists amongst club members.

CDAC is based in Glenelg, our main training facility is on and around Colley Reserve.

If interested, please contact Luke Hildyard via lhd@shcs.sa.edu.au
