Being an over 50 years plus sprint athlete, I am yet to get the formula right to train effectively. By this, I mean the balance of how hard to train, how often to train, how much time should be spent recovering, how much time in the gym and how many competitions to enter.
I periodize my training, but often find myself having to change the sessions due to injury/soreness/weather etc.
What do coaches out there in " pro-land" think about my dilemma?
