The 2019 Warrnambool Gift has some exciting new initiatives to try and attract athletes to make the trip on Saturday November 30th.

We have separated the womens and masters race and programmed a 300m masters and a 300m women's event. Through a very generous sponsorship from Saputo the 300m Masters event 'The Jayne McMeel' prizemoney has been increased from $700 to $1200.

We have decided to change our distance events to 800 and 1600metres. This has been necessary through to poor entries over the past few years.

We will also have a distance bonus competition. There will be more information closer to the event.

While our Mens Gift prizemoney $2500 is in the about average area we feel that the Womens prizemoney also $2500 is above average. We need support from our sprinting females for this event to prosper.

Lastly but maybe most important to many is that the VAL has allocated 2 AP's ticks in each event to all athletes that compete at Warrnambool. This should be a great incentive to help your mark early in the season.
