Its probably one of the most classic examples of not running at their full potential. Either that or he just cant run pro races... no one ever looks to their side, to that degree, during a race; you cant afford it... unless he knew he was running poor and he had to pick up the pace because he was too far behind (which is my bet).

Not a real lot of intitative shown by the back half of the field in the 550m final when Ben Seiben went to the front.

Hopefully we will see them regularly on the Tuesday after the meet. Always good for the kids to see their name in the paper.

Well done to the athletic league for making the decision of having straight out finals in the womens 550m and under 20 550m when 13 had entered for the womens and 14 for the under 20.
Only 8 went around in the womens and only 6 went around in the under 20 .
Can you imagine how exciting heats would have been.
Hope its a precedence of things to come as theres no enjoyment seeing fields of 5 going around with top four qualifying.

And a sub 22 sec run in the 200m as well.
Noticed he was called to the centre of the oval by the stewards,was there a fine or suspension or just a warning that he was on notice. ?
