Congratulations Shaun on a fantastic win. I'm sure you must be so happy. No doubt the result of an enormous amount of hard work. It's great to see our sport's big names paying tribute to meets like Warragul by trying to win and giving the local crowd something to watch.

Well done.

Brendan Matthews must be commended on his good sportsmanship. He took the DQ very well. Didn't seem too disappointed, he was so rapt that Shaun finally broke through for a 'big' Gift win in the VAL.

How could the original winner have been placed on the wrong mark???

Was there an error made by the stewards, the athlete or the starter?

At what point was is discovered that there was a problem with the marks?

Very slack to have this happen in a gift final....

Shocking way to win or lose a gift.

Easy Johnny. Mistakes will always be made in all sport, just ask Steven Bradbury. Shaun has worked hard for a long time to win a big one and it would be a pity for a mistake with blocks to over-shadow his efforts to win this race in particular.

In the past, people have been critical of some of the 'lesser-known' gifts, but it's a credit to Shaun and his coach that they were willing to put it on the line and have a crack at this one.
