Usain Bolt and his Racers Track Club teammates will be chasing the world 4x100m record at the Samsung Diamond League in Zurich on 19 August.
Information reaching trackalerts.com is that a Jamaican 4x100m team of Bolt, Yohan Blake, Mario Forsythe and Marvin Anderson has been confirmed to face-off with seven other teams, including the USA at the meet.
"Jamaica with four Racers guys have been confirmed for the relay, and they promised they will be going after the world record," said a source close to the organizing committee.
At the 2010 Penn Relays in April, Bolt's team fell short of Jamaica's world record of 37.10, set by the quartet of Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Bolt and Asafa Powell at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Racers ran 37.90secs to set a new Penn Relays time for the event –improving the previous mark of 37.92 set by the Americans in 2009.
Bolt's anchor leg run (8.79) at Penn Relays was just .09seconds under the blistering 8.70secs Powell ran on the anchor leg of the victorious Jamaican Olympic 4×100-metre relay team in Beijing.
And since then, Forsythe has dropped his personal best to 10.06, while Blake, who ran a stunning 19.78 seconds in Monaco on Thursday, has been consistently in the 9.9 region.
Not much has been seen of Anderson, who has been affected by injuries since early this season.
