We see the return of the defending champion Rampaging Rosen at Terang this week. Nice little event with a pretty good field. Bonus metre up for grabs and the raiders are down. Who takes it?
Tim Rooke 5 - 10% - See Warrnambool post. Not in my trifecta.
Tim Eschebach 6.5 - 20% - Why would the NSW athlete come all the way down to The Bool and Terang? For a metre of course and some handy travel money. He will look good running down the track and be right in it at the end. 7.5m at Easter, yes please! I would think that he wins. He is very pretty too so I keep hearing when he runs, something for the locals then.
Tim Rosen 12.75m - 14% - Let's be honest, it doesn't matter how many votes he gets I will probably highlight something anyway. He spoiled the tupper Ware party last season with a blistering run from the front. He is still in front. Sorry Tim but that is true. 'The Man' will probably make the final and try in this race. He is the 'Honest Runner' who posted that he always tries. Probably not always to win though. He may try to pull up or try to find another way to lose. He may try and tell people he is trying to win and try to convince the handicappers he needs more of a mark. I always tried when I completed. I tried hard to get under the radar only difference was when you had Hirst, Dunbar, Hirst or the Colonel you didn't move much at all. Good luck Tim, I hope you try hard this week and win the 70m because the mark seems to be an error, win while you can. One day we may have a beer and a pizza together, if you are eating pizza that is
I will speculate a little. I actually think Rosen has improved and may have the chance at winning a bigger race. He could win here, take the small hit and still have the limit at Maryborough. If not Maryborough then why not Rye or Bendigo in that next tier? Now there is a challenge for you 'King of the Gifts'!
I await these results with lots of interest.
