Congratulations to the Bendigo curator. Looks like they may have had the ferrets out there. The Bendigo surface was perfect on the circle track. Not too hard, not too soft. Flat, firm but with some give in it. Not as quick as in previous years.
The mile is the general guide to a quick track or not and both ran 4.06. I sec under start handicap time and 4 secs slower than ceiling. They usually run 4.00 at Bendigo.
No fast circle track allowance should be given. Any fast times were due to runners running fast !!
