Castlemaine Women's 400m

This week is the first of the BIG Women's 400m, with $4000 up for grabs. There has been 6x 400m races for the girls so far this season, 4 of them are entered for Castlemaine and 3 of those have their handicaps back out to winning mark;

Kysha Praciak won 2, has not entered Castlemaine
On previous form/times, McDowell HAS to win this event, second fastest winning time this season, but with Amy McKinley back 6m for her Ballarat win, leaves the obvious race favourite.
With Bendigo and Stawell the only other big 400m events to win, there appears to be some cats among the pigeons. Especially when one of the winners on this list has not run a 400m event since her win, and is back out to the same mark.

How can the Wangaratta winner, have the same mark that she won off, without running in one since? That can't be right.

Is it possible they are rewarding the girls who have had a crack and won the smaller 400s by giving them their marks back for the big ones? If so I think that’s a great initiative and good handicapping.
I assume McKinley can’t get hers back because the Ballarat Women’s 400 is a decent prize money race?

Well guys it's back to my home town this weekend sunny and 27 Sunday and the surface in great shape.very solid preview Shane mck with a couple of glaring omissions.ilana grandines run in the Waverley women's 300 behind McKinley and ruach had to be seen to be believed go to video she's in yellow runs into 4 dead ends and in another 30 metres would have won by 4.she then cruised in her 400 heat at Maryborough in 400 had a niggle and did not run final.then ran 58 at aberfeldie in ammos in 80 KMs cross wind I was there so off 17 she starts favourite this week Cleo Anderson is my 2nd pick beaten a pimple by McKinley at Ballarat off 40 still off 40 forget Keilor run broke in final and then not on song will bounce back hard.ruach Lindstrom and Sinclair all certain finalists.the big query may be nyah brown off 23 multiple junior state champion who did not handle the Daylesford circular track showed improvement in Ballarat restricted and just quietly has run 56 on a track at nationals.mckinley is flying with 3 sashes this season but 28 puts her out of winning hopes.mcdowell quickly back out to 53 but the Wang field was quite weak in ideal conditions so whilst she should final you can get on with me in terms of winning.tara domaschenz looks fit again and could contend off 24.see you up here boys
