World Relays Championships in the making

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Neville "Teddy" McCook, president of the North America, Central America and Caribbean (NACAC) Track & Field Association, disclosed that a World Relays Championships could soon form apart of the IAAF calendar.
According to McCook, IAAF President Lamime Diack wants this Relays Championships to be organized by the North America, Central America and the Caribbean (NACAC) Track & Field Association.
If and when this becomes a reality, McCook, who is also the IAAF Area Representative, said the venue would either be in the United States or Jamaica.
And according to IAAF Council Member McCook while it would include all the relays, 4x100, 4x200m, 4x400, 4x800m, the IAAF would want to include juniors in the event.
He, however, said most of the juniors would come from the host and nearby countries, because others may find it difficult to move their juniors.
"Some of these events would be used as a qualify to feature world championships," he added.
